YourResponsibilities

You and your fiance' will plan your Big Day, choose your wedding venue and make all arrangements for the ceremony to be held at the venue.  Remember, decorations, flowers, etc should be ordered from your vendor and chairs, aisles, small table, and PA system with microphone (if needed) should be secured by your venue. You will need to provide all items used in a special ceremony, such as unity candles, ropes for knots, sand and vases, etc., and have them set up at a small table near the front or podium.   If you are writing your own vows or affirmations, please be sure I have a copy at least two weeks prior to your wedding, along with any poems or other readings.
You must obtain your Marriage License.  To be valid, weddings must take place a minimum of  72 hours after it is issued, but within 30 days of issuance.  I recommend securing your license the week prior to your wedding date.

If you choose to have pets at your Ceremony, you will need to be sure your venue will allow it and pay for any additional fees that may be required.  It will also be necessary to have a designated person in charge of your pet.

My Role

My Role is to help you and your fiance' design and plan a ceremony that will uniquely reflect you as a couple. We will have an initial phone consultation where I will ask you to fill out the Wedding Form to get some basic information.  (The form is available online on the Contact Page.)We will then meet and discuss what type of ceremony fits your vision and I will get copies of your readings, affirmations and vows (if writing your own) as well as go over any special ceremonies.  I will then work on turning your dream into reality.  We will meet once more, by phone or in person, to be sure we have it right.  If there is a rehearsal, I can be available with advance notice, to help coordinate your ceremony, otherwise I will see you on your Big Day.  I will arrive approximately fifteen to thirty minutes before the start of your wedding. Following your wedding ceremony and recessional, we will sign your marriage license prior to your going to your reception.   I will be available for any pictures you wish to take before leaving,  but will not attend your reception.
I will file your Marriage License for you.
